The game focuses on the band Metallica, the second title in the series to focus on a specific band after the series' previous Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. As such, each venue you play has your gang playing the various ‘inspiration’ tracks provided in the game (Bob Seger, Judas Priest, etc.), while taking control of Metallica to blast out their own hits. Guitar Hero: Metallica is the third spinoff title of the Guitar Hero video game series.
